Biography
Xhol Caravan began in Wiesbaden in 1967 as Soul Caravan, a German and American soul band led by Tim Belbe, Hansi Fischer, Klaus Briest and Skip van Wyck. Renamed in 1969 and joined by organist Öcki Brevern, they released 'Electrip' (1969), one of the first krautrock albums, mixing free jazz, psychedelia and studio experiment. Shortened to Xhol, the group issued 'Hau-RUK' and 'Motherfuckers GmbH & Co. KG' before splitting in 1972.
