Biography
St. Louis instrumental math-rock trio founded in 2000 and signed to #Skin Graft Records#. Yowie compose hyper-detailed, high-velocity pieces with no solos and minimal repetition, heard on 'Cryptooology', 'Damning With Faint Praise' and 'Synchromysticism'. Drummer Defenestrator, the last founder, rebuilt the band with Daniel Kennedy and Jack Tickner for 'Taking Umbrage' in 2025. Every piece is written collectively, rehearsed to near impossibility and performed live without overdubs, making them a singular presence in American experimental rock.
