Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reimagined as a unique musical dialogue, 'Cosmic Waves Volume 1' is a hybrid compilation and covers project curated and released by Angel Olsen. The album's first half features newly commissioned original tracks from rising independent artists such as Poppy Jean Crawford, Coffin Prick, and Camp Saint Helene. On the flip side, Olsen refracts each artist's song back to them, delivering an elegant and woebegone set of retro-tinged indie folk and gothic pop covers.
