Biography
Angel Olsen is an American singer-songwriter known for her versatile and evocative music that spans indie folk, rock, art pop, and country. After gaining early experience as a backing vocalist for *Bonnie 'Prince' Billy*, she launched a solo career with the stark, intimate album 'Half Way Home'. Signing with #Jagjaguwar#, she embraced a fuller, rock-oriented sound on 'Burn Your Fire for No Witness' and the critically acclaimed 'My Woman'. Her work grew more ambitious with the sweeping, orchestral arrangements of 'All Mirrors' and its stripped-down counterpart, 'Whole New Mess'. Most recently, she explored themes of love and loss through a country-and-western lens on her 2022 album, 'Big Time'.
