Album Notes & Community Reviews

This tongue-in-cheek compilation gathers the highly subversive, often completely unrecognizable remixes Richard D. James produced for other artists throughout the 1990s. Operating more as original Aphex Twin compositions than traditional remixes, the tracks frequently discard the source material entirely in favor of his own frantic drill-and-bass programming or eerie ambient textures. Despite the mercenary title, the collection serves as a brilliant, deeply eccentric showcase of his peerless production skills.
