Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conveniently compiling the band's self-titled debut EP alongside their split release with Huggy Bear, this disc is the foundational manifesto of the riot grrrl movement. Kathleen Hanna's incredibly intense, polemical vocals tear through Ian MacKaye's raw, unpolished production. It serves as an uncompromising, radically feminist assault on the patriarchal structures of the 1990s underground punk scene.
