Album Notes & Community Reviews

Despite his clear ambitions toward mature vocal jazz, the label strategically packaged this collection of up-tempo rock and roll tracks specifically to appease his massive adolescent fanbase. The driving saxophones and energetic, slightly rebellious vocal deliveries contrast sharply with his concurrent swinging big band releases. The compilation perfectly illustrates the delicate commercial balancing act required of transitional pop idols.
