Street Halo / Kindred

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bringing together two highly celebrated EPs released sequentially on Hyperdub, 'Street Halo / Kindred' continues William Bevan's exploration of spectral, nocturnal UK bass music. The tracks mark a distinct shift away from the strict 2-step rhythms of his earlier work, expanding into longer, cinematic suites heavily characterized by vinyl crackle and ghostly, pitch-shifted vocal samples. It documents a vital transitional phase for one of electronic music's most elusive producers.
