Album Notes & Community Reviews
Issued for the Ives centenary, the five LP box gathers Columbia's Ives recordings alongside the composer's own piano recordings made between 1933 and 1943. It draws in part on Vivian Perlis's oral history project, and its version of 'They Are There!' preserves Ives performing his own song.
