Moon's Milk (In Four Phases)
by Coil
This sprawling double album compiles four separate EPs released conceptually to coincide with the solstices and equinoxes of 1998. The resulting work captures Coil moving away from their aggressive industrial origins toward dense, hallucinatory soundscapes heavily infused with pagan aesthetics and modern classical instrumentation. It remains an occult masterpiece of esoteric electronics, balancing terrifying drone passages with surprisingly beautiful acoustic arrangements.
