Originally released as a massive sequence of five digital EPs before being compiled into a sprawling double-disc opus, this release essentially birthed the modern boogie and synth-funk revival. Operating entirely on vintage drum machines and heavy, analog synthesizer basslines, Damon Riddick constructs a deeply immersive, futuristic homage to 1980s Los Angeles funk. It established him as the undisputed vanguard of the Stones Throw label's electronic era.
