Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Sad & Dangerous' crucially compiles early EPs and hard-to-find single tracks from the Australian instrumental trio, serving as an essential primer to their emotionally devastating core sound. The recordings perfectly capture the raw, spontaneous interplay between Warren Ellis's tempestuous violin lines, Mick Turner's cyclical guitar picking, and Jim White's free-flowing jazz percussion. These formative tracks reveal a young band already possessing a fully realized ability to convey profound heartbreak without uttering a single word.
