Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released at the zenith of his commercial and cultural influence, this compilation chronicles the Scottish troubadour's rapid transition from an acoustic folk imitator into a pioneer of heavily orchestrated psychedelic pop. The sequence highlights his incredibly successful run of mystical, flower-power anthems produced by Mickie Most, including 'Sunshine Superman' and 'Mellow Yellow'. The record remains a quintessential, sun-drenched artifact of the late-1960s hippie era.
