Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released just before their creative peak with 'Hotel California', this compilation summarizes the breezy, immaculately harmonized California country-rock that initially defined the band. Featuring ubiquitous radio staples like 'Take It Easy' and 'Desperado', the collection perfectly distilled the relaxed, sun-drenched hedonism of the mid-1970s West Coast scene. It stands as a monumental commercial juggernaut, alternating with Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' as the highest-selling album in United States history.
