Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on her soaring international fame, 'Encores parisiennes' collects a sweeping array of the 'Little Sparrow's' deeply romantic, tragedy-laden ballads. 脡dith Piaf's trembling, overwhelmingly powerful vocal delivery is perfectly framed by lush, dramatic orchestrations. The compilation perfectly distills the cinematic heartbreak that defined the golden era of post-war French popular song.
