Science 1994

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Documenting the entire recorded history of the deeply influential, short-lived Oakland outfit, 'Science 1994' is a foundational pillar of the 1990s emo movement. The tracks contrast hushed, spoken-word tension and delicate arpeggios against explosive, agonizing vocal screams and chaotic dissonance. Long circulated as obscure 7-inches, this complete discography helped codify the dynamic shifts that would later define the screamo subgenre.
