Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Godard / Spillane' reissues two of John Zorn's file-card compositions of the 1980s, tributes to Jean-Luc Godard and Mickey Spillane. Built from abrupt blocks of sound assembled by large ensembles, the pieces established Zorn's jump-cut compositional method.
