Album Notes & Community Reviews

Combining their '4 Satin' EP, 'No Education = No Future (Fuck the Curfew)' EP, and the 'Mogwai' EP, 'EP+6' is an essential document of the Scottish band's early instrumental development. The collection perfectly maps their mastery of extreme dynamic shifts, contrasting achingly quiet, slowcore-inflected arpeggios with sudden, deafening explosions of guitar noise. It stands alongside 'Young Team' as a foundational blueprint for the entire 1990s post-rock movement.
