Album Notes & Community Reviews
Summarizing their monumentally successful mid-seventies tenure with Mercury Records, this compilation gathers the Midwestern group's most infectious, deeply syncopated hits. Their innovative integration of sultry vocals, heavy basslines, and jazz-inflected horns heavily defined the evolution of commercial funk music.
