Yessir Whatever

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering twelve years of rare vinyl B-sides, compilation tracks, and previously unreleased material, 'Yessir Whatever' is an essential deep dive into Madlib's cartoonish, helium-voiced alter-ego. The collection perfectly highlights his genius for stitching together obscure jazz samples, dusty drum loops, and surrealistic, deadpan humor. Released to overwhelming critical praise, the project reaffirmed his status as one of underground hip-hop's most inventive and eccentric producers.
