Album Notes & Community Reviews

Painstakingly chronicles the Athens, Georgia quartet's incredibly influential formative era on independent label I.R.S. Records, prior to their massive mainstream pop crossover. Bypassing their later stadium hits, the collection focuses entirely on the murky, jangly, and highly poetic college-rock foundational tracks that established the entire 1980s American indie scene. The deluxe edition includes a wealth of crucial outtakes and early demo recordings.
