This 'Essential' collection surveys Terry Callier's career across Cadet, Elektra and his later Verve comeback. Callier's folk-soul, built on jazz harmony and his baritone voice, moved from 1960s Chicago folk clubs to the acid jazz revival that rediscovered him.
