The Most of The Animals

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released for the UK market following their departure from EMI, this compilation efficiently rounds up the incredible, hard-hitting singles of their initial incarnation. The collection is dominated by their dark, fiercely intense interpretations of traditional folk and American R&B, driven by Eric Burdon's ferocious vocals and Alan Price's heavily rhythmic organ work that defined their uniquely aggressive British Invasion sound.
