Originally assembled by Allen Klein for the North American market, this compilation aimed to gather singles and B-sides that had largely avoided release on Capitol Records LPs. Spanning the era from 'Can't Buy Me Love' through the sprawling, anthemic titular track, the sequence inadvertently creates a fascinating, slightly disjointed timeline of the band's staggering evolution. Despite its piecemeal origins, it was a massive commercial success right as the group formally dissolved.
