Album Notes & Community Reviews
An exhaustive retrospective compiling the entire, beautifully orchestrated output of the influential New York 'baroque pop' pioneers. The collection highlights their groundbreaking use of harpsichords and classical string quartets within the context of melancholy, Beatles-inspired rock and roll. It sparked a significant critical revival of their work during the 1990s indie-pop explosion.
