Album Notes & Community Reviews

Constructed as a loose concept album centered entirely on themes of profound heartbreak and abandonment, this compilation gathers the renowned country duo's most devastatingly sorrowful late-1950s singles. The deeply melancholic collection is carried entirely by their haunting, incredibly tight high-tenor harmonies, offering a pristine example of the intensely emotional 'blood harmony' style that heavily influenced the subsequent generation of folk-rock vocalists.
