Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released shortly after the tragic death of founding member Brian Jones, this second greatest hits package chronicles The Rolling Stones' late-1960s descent into psychedelia and darker lyrical themes. Famously packaged in an octagonal sleeve, the compilation highlights their transition away from standard rhythm and blues into more ornate, drug-influenced baroque pop. The collection serves as an eerie, brilliant coda to the initial chapter of their unparalleled rock and roll dominance.
