Album Notes & Community Reviews

Compiling the highly sought-after early singles and EPs released on their own independent imprint between 1980 and 1983, this collection maps the aggressive, formative years of the legendary Leeds group. Driven by Andrew Eldritch's sepulchral baritone and the relentless mechanical pulse of their 'Doktor Avalanche' drum machine, the tracks highlight their transition from abrasive post-punk into sweeping, atmospheric gloom. It remains an essential foundational text for the entire gothic rock movement.
