Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally released as a mail-order cassette compiled by the NME, this compilation fundamentally codified the British indie-pop sound. Showcasing bands heavily reliant on Rickenbacker guitars, abrasive fuzz, and deeply melodic sensibilities, the release eventually became synonymous with an entire subgenre of independent music.
