Album Notes & Community Reviews

Compiled by Decca Records producer Mike Vernon, this vital collection serves as a definitive cross-section of the explosive, highly purist British blues movement of the mid-1960s. The album notably highlights rare early tracks and collaborations featuring the movement's premier architects, including John Mayall and a young Eric Clapton, providing crucial historical context for the transition from acoustic reverence to heavy blues-rock.
