Album Notes & Community Reviews
An incredibly vibrant, crate-digging anthology documenting the electrifying collision of traditional Thai rural folk music with imported Western pop and funk. The compilation unearths highly infectious, heavily synthesized luk thung grooves and bizarre, fuzzed-out disco novelties that dominated Southeast Asian radio during the Vietnam War era. It served as a major turning point for the global appreciation of obscure Asian pop aesthetics.
