Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Cocteau Twins' Robin Guthrie, this seminal transmission from the British duo effectively coined the term 'shoegaze' before the wider movement fully materialized. Fusing the dub-influenced experimentation of London's underground with suffocating layers of feedback and hushed, sensual vocals, the release remains a startlingly inventive precursor to the 1990s alternative rock explosion.
