Originally duplicated onto a limited run of cassettes, 'Lady of the Waterpark' is the debut six-track EP that introduced Angel Olsen's raw folk songwriting. The home-recorded tracks are built entirely around her warbling, deeply melancholic vocals and sparse, unadorned acoustic guitar plucking. It captures an intimate, highly lo-fi, and summery atmosphere of youth and existential longing, laying the groundwork for her first major studio releases.
