Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as a prelude to his wildly acclaimed 'Richard D. James Album', this release fully introduces his frenzied manipulation of complex jungle and drum and bass breakbeats. The title track masterfully layers warm, romantic orchestral string arrangements over impossibly fast, splintered percussion loops. The deeply influential release helped popularize the drill and bass subgenre, balancing aggressive rhythmic programming with lush, beautiful melodies.
