Album Notes & Community Reviews
Arriving during a highly prolific period for the duo, 'Cherubs E.P.' showcases a starker, post-rock-influenced expansion of their trademark slowcore template. The tracks utilize quiet-loud dynamics, incorporating swelling instrumental climaxes, dense string loops, and brooding guitar parts. This moody backdrop provides a heavy, depressive canvas for some of Aidan Moffat's most devastatingly bleak and introspective tales of domestic decay.
