Arriving just before her high-profile production work with Kanye West and FKA twigs, Alejandra Ghersi radically distorts hip-hop structures into terrifying, liquid alien forms. The intensely physical, stuttering bass hits and manipulated vocal pitches established the wildly unpredictable, mutant-club aesthetic that would define her massive critical legacy. The visceral sound design essentially laid the foundation for the entire 2010s deconstructed club movement.
