Album Notes & Community Reviews
Originally self-distributed at early local shows, this debut introduces the sprawling, earnest theatricality that would later propel the Canadian collective to global stadium status. The rougher production emphasizes a scrappy folk-rock urgency over the refined orchestrations of their breakthrough albums. It features the earliest recorded version of 'No Cars Go', a track that would later be rerecorded to massive acclaim.
