Album Notes & Community Reviews

On the mini-album 'Adults!!!: Smart!!! Shithammered!!! And Excited By Nothing!!!!!!!', the band channels a frantic, full-band energy that blends ska-punk, indie rock, and chiptune elements, complete with horns, organ, and glockenspiel. Lyrically, Jeff Rosenstock explores themes of anxiety and the pains of growing older with a self-aware, darkly humorous, and cathartic tone. The record marked a significant shift in the band's process as their first release to omit audio samples between tracks and was recorded with a more collaborative, live-in-the-basement approach.
