Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally commissioned by author Clive Barker for his iconic horror film before being rejected by studio executives for being insufficiently commercial, this legendary instrumental suite is a masterclass in suffocating dread. John Balance and Peter Christopherson's utilization of chilling samplers and icy, industrial synth drones permanently established the aesthetic blueprint for the dark ambient subgenre.
