Album Notes & Community Reviews

Signaling a dramatic turn from their abrasive industrial tape loops, this release marks David Tibet's full descent into esoteric, acoustic neofolk. The delicate instrumentation, featuring heavy contributions from Douglas P. of Death In June, beautifully complements Tibet's apocalyptic, historically obsessed poetry. It successfully introduced a deeply pastoral, gothic folk aesthetic that would profoundly define the remainder of the collective's sprawling career.
