Where the Long Shadows Fall (Beforetheinmostlight)

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Comprised of a single, haunting 19-minute track, this release acts as a profound diversion from the collective's typical apocalyptic folk songwriting. David Tibet constructs a sprawling, loop-based soundscape by utilizing an obscure vocal sample of a castrato singer from the early 20th century. The resulting piece is incredibly mournful and ghostly, bridging the gap between historical archival audio and dark ambient drone.
