Consisting of archival sessions and new recordings, 'Thaw' continues the band's tradition of blending traditional black metal with Ukrainian poetic themes. The EP focuses on transitional seasons, utilizing long instrumental passages and acoustic folk interludes to mirror the melting of winter ice. Drudkh remains a reclusive but foundational entity in the development of Eastern European atmospheric metal.
