Fast Japanese Spin Cycle

Fast Japanese Spin Cycle cover art

True to its title, this extremely brief, lo-fi collection blasts through eight eccentric indie pop fragments in under eight minutes. Recorded primarily in Robert Pollard's basement, the fractured acoustic strumming and tape-hiss perfectly encapsulate the band's charmingly disjointed, 'hit-and-run' approach to songcraft. The EP serves as a bite-sized encapsulation of their hyper-prolific mid-90s creative peak.
