Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capturing the pivotal moment where the trio's breakneck aggression began yielding to genuine pop melodicism, this release acts as a crucial bridge in their discography. It prominently features drummer Grant Hart taking lead vocal duties on the harrowing tracks 'Diane' and 'It's Not Funny Anymore'. The evolving dynamic between Hart and Bob Mould established a potent dual-songwriting foundation that would redefine American alternative music.
