Heart Ache

Functioning as the inaugural release for Justin Broadrick's new project following the dissolution of Godflesh, this EP comprises two massive, sprawling 20-minute compositions. The music pivots away from stark, abrasive industrial metal toward suffocatingly heavy, sorrowful walls of downtuned guitars and melancholic vocal melodies. It magnificently established the foundation for the burgeoning doomgaze movement by weaponizing extreme volume for deeply emotional catharsis.
