Riften

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Chicago-based emoviolence outfit Lord Snow returns with 'Riften', a four-track extended play that continues their ongoing thematic homage to the video game 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim'. Released independently, the record delivers a chaotic and densely structured burst of angular screamo, characterized by dissonant guitar work, complex rhythms, and impassioned, harsh vocal performances. The EP captures a manic energy that bridges aggressive hardcore with anxious, existential melancholy, reaffirming the band's uncompromising presence within the contemporary underground scene.
