Album Notes & Community Reviews

The legendary Scottish post-rock quintet delivers a brief, relatively subdued collection relying heavily on shimmering guitar delays and creeping, cinematic tension. The track 'Stanley Kubrick' beautifully highlights their absolute mastery of delicate dynamic shifts, slowly building from whispering restraint into a cathartic wall of feedback. It served as a vital creative bridge leading into the monumental arrangements of their 'Rock Action' era.
