Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in a chaotic, severely underfunded session, this debut introduced Stephen Malkmus and Scott Kannberg's highly influential brand of disjointed guitar experimentation. Its hissy, purposely abrasive production and enigmatic lyricism laid the definitive blueprint for 90s underground slacker rock.
