Staircase Infinities

Originally compiled as a bonus disc for the 'Up the Downstair' album, this EP features outtakes that highlight Steven Wilson's deep immersion in ambient space rock. The tracks rely heavily on shimmering synthesizers, drum machine sequences, and fluid, Gilmour-esque guitar solos, eschewing the heavier progressive metal of their later years. It is a stunning, deeply relaxing exercise in mid-90s psychedelic atmosphere.
