Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded concurrently with their legendary 'Sirens' debut, this incredibly heavy and theatrical effort highlights the Floridian ensemble's mastery of both doom-laden atmospherics and blistering power metal. The soaring, operatic vocal acrobatics of Jon Oliva and the classically inspired riffing of his brother Criss provided a dramatic, structurally complex alternative to the rapidly developing thrash scene.
